Welcome to My HTML Experiment
So if you've landed here, you're bound to be wondering what in the heck you're looking at. Maybe you're even having flashbacks to your very first Geocities website back in the late 90s.
Either way, you're probably not super impressed with the looks of this here website.
But give it a chance...maybe it'll grow on you! After all, I'm just now learning to program in HTML code. I know, I know: Why would anyone want to code in HTML in a world of WYSIWYG editors?
Well, I figure someone has to know what they're looking at when they're checking out websites. And besides---maybe someday I'll have a career in Web Design.
So consider this a grand experiment....and stop by regularly to watch things change. As I learn more, I'll make updates...and someday, this site might just be a modern masterpiece!
Until then, stop by my blog or my professional development wiki to see what I can do when I'm not coding on my own!
There are lots of reasons for learning HTML Code. They include:
- It makes me cooler than Mr. Hutchinson
- It makes me cooler than Mrs. Beazlie
- It helps me to understand what I'm looking at when I see a website
I'm also learning to include symbols into my nifty new HTML web page. I figure the first I should use---to impress Mr. Hutchinson---is the &euro symbol, don't you? Who WOULDN'T want a Euro symbol in their website!
My favorite thing ever is using block quotes. Check it out.
In this document, I'm planning on testing all that I learn about HTML coding. Right now, I know almost nothing. Over time, I'm guessing that I'll know a lot.
So far, the trickiest thing has been the <> that you're supposed to use simply because you need to hold the shift key down to use them.
I even learned how to include links like this one that connects to the tutorial I'm using.
